We have many years of experience in advising developers as to the potential impact of noise on proposed and existing developments. We can provide baseline noise monitoring and assessments to satisfy planning requirements in accordance with National Planning Policy Guidance (NPPG), local authority, environmental health and world Health Organisation (WHO) recommendations.|
We can undertake full on-site assessments of the impact of industrial noise on residential developments in accordance with BS4142 methodology and make recommendations to reduce or eliminate noise nuisance.
We also provide, through the use of noise contouring programmes (e.g. CADNA), a visual demonstration of the possible dissipation of noise sources across a development.
Our reports include full details of any monitoring carried out and recommendations for meeting specific attenuation requirements to ensure noise levels do not exceed WHO criteria or satisfactory thresholds established in BS8233:2014 – Guidance on sound insulation and noise reduction for buildings.
