Bespoke Building Services
Energy Evaluation Services Ltd (EES) was instructed by Cathelco Ltd to produce an Energy Statement in support of a planning appeal being submitted by DLP Planning Ltd. The proposed residential development
was initially rejected by Peak District National Park on several grounds including the lack of consideration of energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy sources in the proposals. Using NHBC benchmark specifications EES demonstrated that through the use of enhanced fabric and attention to reduction in potential thermal bridging a solution could be developed that combined the use of visually unobtrusive Ground Source Heat Pumps and internal heat recovery to not only meet Part L but also deliver a predicted 37% reduction in CO2 DERvTER necessary for achieving CfSH Level.
