UMMERTIME OVERHEATING, TARLING ROAD, LONDON
Tarling Road, London (Circulation Areas)
Willmott Dixon Housing Ltd
Energy Evaluation were instructed by Willmott Dixon Housing Ltd to advise on the risk of summertime overheating in the communal circulation areas of the proposed multi-storey dwellings. The dwellings were modelled with different glazing and ventilation schemes (natural and mechanical) to determine the likely impact on summertime temperatures and provide advice on how to reduce the risk of overheating.
EDSL Tas (Dynamic Simulation) was used to build the models and provide the calculations. The calculations used both CIBSE A Guide criteria and CIBSE TM52 Adaptive Overheating Assessment methodology – to quantify the risk of overheating.
